My goal in creating the Spiritual Gifts Project is to bring forward what I feel is the best, biblically based research and teachings on this subject and present it in a way that the ordinary church member, like me, can understand and put to use.
Where a lot of material on the spiritual gifts falls short is when the authors write about gifts they do not personally have. Through this website I hope to gather YOUR stories, experiences, wisdom, and knowledge on all of the spiritual gifts and share them through this website. I am trying to learn about the spiritual gifts just as you are and I hope you will help me. Please feel free to ask questions, comment, and share your experiences with me and the community here.
So where do you go from here? First I recommend you read the series of posts titled Unpacking Paul. Here I outline the specific Bible verses concerning the Spiritual Gifts and their meanings. Next, read the post called Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts as I give some direction on how you can discover what gifts you have. Finally, take the Spiritual Gifts Questionnaire which will help you narrow down where the Holy Spirit might be leading you. There are detailed explanations of each gift available for you to review and study on this website.
